Architectural Reviews
The value of our homes is impacted by the appearance of the entire Association. Given the increasing value of our homes, we want to continue that trend by maintaining a level of consistency in the neighborhood.
In keeping with that goal, the Architectural Review Committee has completed an inspection of the entire neighborhood. If any elements of your house are in violation of the architectural guidelines, you will receive a notice in the mail. For your convenience, the guidelines are published here.
If you wish to make any alteration to your property (sheds, landscaping, screen doors, painting, decks, arbors, trellises, etc.) you must submit an Architectural Review form. The Architectural Review Committee will process all requests and notify you of their decision in writing within 21 days of receipt of your Architectural Review form application.
Considerations such as site, shape, color, design, height, impairment of the view from other lots or other factors which the Committee reasonably believes to be relevant, may be taken into account in determining whether or not to consent to any proposed work.
Special note about Satellite Dishes:
The FCC limits an HOA's ability to regulate satellite dishes of up to one meter in diameter . Therefore we no longer require an application to be approved in advance, but we have compiled the following list of guidelines which we ask that homeowners follow when having a satellite dish installed. Note that satellite dishes of greater than one meter in diameter are not allowed.
- Must be attached to the dwelling in an as inconspicuous a place as possible - preferably so as to not be visible from the street
- Must not be obtrusive
- May not exceed the highest point of the roofline if a less visible location is suitable for installation
- May not be placed on the front elevation if a less visible location is suitable for installation
- May not be placed on a side elevation facing a street if a less visible location is suitable for installation
- May not be placed on a roof slope facing a street if a less visible location is suitable for installation
- Should be either dark grey in color or consistent with the color of the house
- Must be one meter in diameter or less
- May not pose safety issues
- May not interfere with the Association's maintenance and repair obligations for common property or exterior portions of the living units
- May not encroach on another lot
- May not be mounted on alternate locations such as fences or poles
