5-11-05
á First meeting of new ARC formed last week on 5-5-05.
á Barbara opened with comment of new shed installed at 5792 NE Farnham St., observed while walking one day. Shed is at front fence at side of house, higher than fence. Owner said the shed installation was approved. The newly formed ARC wants to check for precedence on shed approvals. AI for Don to check with Scott @ NWCM if this was an approved ARC submittal.
á Mike mentioned seeing another house on Retford with a shed at the front fence, higher than the fence. Street address is 766 NE Retford. AI for Don to also check if this one was approved.
á Scott gave a new ARC application to Don for ARC to act on. Application was received 5-6-05. Homeowner requesting approval to install professionally constructed 14ÕX12Õ patio cover. Application is complete with drawings and specs as required. ARC generally agreed in concept that it looked approvable. Don passed application to Barbara to take for more detailed review.
á Mick mentioned noticing a lack of locks on the gates to the run-off ponds around the neighborhood and danger it posed to children. Scott will take it to the board.
á Mike asked if there was a numbering convention for the ARC applications. Don will check with NWCM. If no convention, ARC will develop one.
á Brief discussion about time ARC has to render a decision on applications. Scott will double check - have been using 21 days.

á ARC discussed an existing application received on 5-3-05. The submitter is an ARC member, so recused himself and departed. Homeowner seeking approval to install a lit flag pole in the backyard. ARC unanimously agreed to recommend disapproving on the basis of not wanting to set a precedent for flag poles in the neighborhood.
