NHWC Meeting Minutes

Date: Monday, July 18, 2005

Time: 7:30pm-8:30pm

Attendees: Shaun, Susan, Krishna, Adam, David

Introductions and selection of committee positions:

Shaun – Chair

Adam – Vice Chair

Susan – Secretary

• We set a regular meeting time/frequency. The committee will meet the first Monday of every month from 7:30-9:30.

• The committee will post the meeting minutes on the website.

• We will ask the Hillsboro Crime Prevention Liaison for 5 signs. One for each entrance and one for the park with the basketball hoop.

Committee Goals/Next Steps:

• Recruit Block Captains
• Block Party/Safety Fair
• More Lighting
• Tips of the Month posted on the website.
• FAQ section posted on the website.
• List of recent activity from police department posted on the website.

Action Items:

• Krishna – Create Yahoo group mail account for committee email.
• Shaun - Contact additional members who expressed interest in the committee.
• Shaun – Schedule the Hillsboro Police Crime Prevention Liaisons for our next meeting on Monday, August 1^st.
• Shaun – Email the other committee members a softcopy of the Coordinators Handbook.
• Shaun – Send a mission statement from the handbook to Krishna for website.
• Shaun – Provide other team members with information on the Citizens Academy.
• Susan – Put contact information in spreadsheet
• All – Recruit block captains or reps for each street.
